TTS was rock solid prior to the update on my unit, but now typically only speaks the first direction along my route and then remains silent for the remainder of the route.

There are several more problems with tt, but after just the ones above, why would anyone want to buy one? I can tell you, this is the first and only tt I will ever have.After purchasing and returning three other gps systems I finally found one that works for me! Several places I have gone to, the unit did not have the street numbers, you have to ride for miles looking at mailboxes to find the place. After many emails to tt, their answer was, its not our problem, its the map supplier, tela atlas. A few days I kept count as I was riding, unit has about 2 errors per mile(wrong names, fake roads etc) Many neighborhoods that are over 3 yrs old are not in the unit(but they are in my older garmin) I plugged the tt in and did the latest updates, as of 10 2010, and these neighborhoods still do not exist. Memory is built in and full, with no slot to add more, was told you may have to delete some features to upgrade maps! As you are riding down the road, the street names only show up about time you reach the street, then only stay on the screen about 2 seconds. Unit most often picks a route which takes more time, more miles.

I love the human voice options but unfortunately the already recorded voices doesn't tell you the street names only when to turn right or left in so many yards. I was headed in the direction of downtown and it shows the overhead signs on the freeway & it even displays little buildings downtown. I also like the fact it tells me where exactly to exit because I'mSo direction illiterate.

THEN, on top of being slow, it gives me wrong directions. I would have to stick it out the window of my car and drive around for a couple minutes. This GPS would take a while to find a GPS signal.
